Africa-Britain-China Conference on Agriculture and Fisheries held in Beijing

The Africa-Britain-China Conference on Agriculture and Fisheries was held on 12-14 January 2010 in Beijing, attended by more than fifty participants from Africa, UK and China. The conference was sponsored by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and Ministry of Agriculture, China.

The conference was addressed by Mr Niu Dun, Vice Minister of Agriculture of China, Mr Joseph Sam Sesay, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food Security of Sierra Leone, Dr Richard Mkandawire, Head of Agriculture, NEPAD Secretariat. Prof Chris Whitty, Chief Scientific Adviser of DFID, delivered a keynote to the conference with title of Global Food Security.
