“Low Carbon Agriculture” Project Held Provincial Workshop

The “low carbon agriculture” project under SAIN Working Group 1 held its provincial workshop in Jinan, Shandong province on 23 January. The workshop was attended by more than 40 attendees which included officials of provincial departments of agriculture, environmental protection, development and reform, academics of provincial agricultural research institutes and universities, as well as representatives of fertilizer factories. This three-year (2009-2012) project is funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the UK government. Shandong is one of the four case study provinces of the project.
